Intro to Fencing @ ECHO Fencing
Members of our community will be able to get discounted prices for trial classes as part of an exclusive collaboration between us and ECHO Fencing so total cost will be $30/person. We'll have time to learn how to use the weapon and then practice it against each other! For clothing/shoes I recommend wearing shorts with long socks (knee high). Shoes ideally should have support for the soles (badminton, volleyball-like) but any athletic shoe will do! If you don't have knee high socks you'll be able to buy them at the studio for $20. Any more specific questions you can ask me in the thread as I've been fencing for a few years! If you have been inspired watching 2521 or just wanted to try out a fun sport, this'll be the perfect opportunity!
We'll be hosting a fencing class at ECHO Fencing studio in Back Bay! The class will focus on the basics of fencing using the épée (eh-pay) which has a simple ruleset (not to be confused for easy!) compared to the other weapons! All required equipment will be provided by the studio so you will just need to bring good athletic shoes/clothes.
